Abstract Coastal Landscapes

I am an abstract landscape artist from Wellington, New Zealand, who has been painting for many years. Starting in college, I have developed my skills as a self-taught artist. My work has been showcased in various exhibitions and galleries within the Wellington region, and I was proud to be a finalist in the Youth Millennium Art Awards 2000. 

Inspired by the stunning views of Wellington's south coast, Kapiti coast, and the Wairarapa coast, I have recently begun to incorporate elements of the ocean into my pieces, which adds a sense of perspective and depth. My focus lies in creating compositions that occur organically in nature while providing a structured representation of both land and sea. This approach gives me a sense of control during the painting process, often combined with the use of mixed media to enhance surface texture.
